Step 3 — Compliance & Approval

Before launch, selected cooks complete required local food safety steps (details below). We guide you through this process.

Step 4 — Start Cooking

Prepare weekly dinners for families in your area and begin earning.

What's Required to Cook in Ontario (GTA)

To protect both you and the families you serve, Ontario law requires home kitchens preparing food for sale to meet certain standards.

If selected, founding cooks will need to complete the following before launch:

  • ✓ Notify your local Public Health unit
  • ✓ Pass a home kitchen health inspection
  • ✓ Hold a valid Food Handler Certificate
  • ✓ Comply with municipal zoning and local guidelines
  • ✓ Be open to basic food safety and sanitation standards

SimpleSpoon will guide selected cooks through this process step-by-step.
